I think different venues will have different menus.
On arrival, they served me a glass of shampain in a champagne glass.
A small bowl of assorted nuts was thrown in as accompaniment.
For dinner, my choices were:
Pasta or Black Angus Beef Burger with Fries or Chicken Wings
A drink ... choice of Coke, Sprite, Ice Lemon Tea or Orange Juice
Popcorn ... choice of sweet or salted or mixed
Dessert was a large wedged slice of rainbow cake
I went only becoz it was free and for the experience.
And now that I have experienced it, I wont pay to experience it again.
The movie ticket (without dinner) is $39.00. I believe this comes with the champagne and assorted nuts.
The dinner... additional charges apply.
I asked Edna how much does the movie and dinner cost?
She said around $80 per pax.
I wouldnt pay $160 for an outing like this.
To watch the movie, I can either buy the DVD or watch it free online. Either way, I will get to watch with English subtitles
which is how I watch movies. Half the time these actors and actresses are murmuring...cant hear wad der fug they are saying.
Plus when I watch a movie, my habit is to focus on the movie. Not have a full dinner whilst watching a movie. At most is I snack.
But not eat a full meal of dinner while watching. And likewise when I have a nice dinner, my habit is to enjoy the dinner...not eat
while I look at my laptop or phone or TV. Unless I am eating something cheap and simple like Pork Porridge.
As I can watch the movie online for free (I dont mind waiting till after the cinema screening period is over), I have the whole of that
$160 to eat at Ichiban for 4 times or at Crystal Jade or Dian Xiao Er for 3.5 times. Where I can eat very comfortably on a table which
is at the proper height for eating and I can see what I eat. At Gold Class Vivo City, the table they provided was very small. It was less
than 2 ft long and about less than 18 inches wide. And that is for 2 persons to share. I rather they use the trolley tray used in hospitals
and provide one tray for each person. Even the food tray we get when we fly Economy Class is more comfortable. And I couldnt see
what I was eating. It was dark. So bro, you may want to bring a few tea candles and light up your table.
So to pay $160 for this...that is something I will never do.
But if IG throws another one next year and invites me....then ofcoz I will go and enjoy free movie and free dinner.
