Up and at it early here in God's Country. The in-laws want to eat lunch today so it's an early start on the smoking. The ham is already in the WSM over cherry wood at about 200°. I'm hoping it gets a nice 2nd dose of smoke.

Now the real star of the show... the leftover point from yesterday's brisket. Cubed, rerubbed, and sauced!

Here is where the holiday "fun" comes in. The better half asks me, "what is that!?!?" with a disapproving look. I said I'm making burnt ends to take over to your mom's for a snack. With the same disapproving look she says, "we're not taking anything burnt to my mom's!"

At times like this I wonder how we've managed to stay together for 16 years. I also ponder if it's too early to open a beer...

Happy Easter Everyone!
