The freezer is empty...

Well, I took out the last piece of meat out of the freezer, which happened to be a picnic shoulder. Thumbing through the weekly sales, I decided to pickup some future smokes and Q. I'm buying 3 whole chickens, 6 chicken breasts, 2 London broil, 2 Chuck roast, 2 Tri Tips, 4 racks of spares, 2 racks of Dino ribs, and as usual, 2 pok butts. I got lucky in the fact that these were all on sale within the same week. Now all I have to do is mention it to Gloria...

Hey Rich; Not sure if you have a Value + in your neighborhood, but from 5/13 thru 5/19 they have fresh pork butts for $.88 lb. I always get mine there when they're on sale. Value + is owned by Kroeger. www.kvmart.com

Ron, that's their normal sale price for butts. Shoulders go for $.78 lb when they're on sale. I never miss one of those sales, ever!
