Thanksgiving Storm @ The Bear Cave

This storm almost ruined our Thanksgiving Dinner. It started snowing at 8 AM the day before Thanksgiving, and snowed all day & into the night. We lost our electric for hours on Thanksgiving Eve, and then for a couple more hours on Thanksgiving Morning, but luckily it was restored at 10 AM, in time to clean up the mess, and get all the food prepared.

It’s nothing like the snow Buffalo gets, but I thought I’d give you all a Bear’s Eye View of what almost ruined our Thanksgiving Dinner.

Total Accumulation was 10" this time.

Hope you all had a Great Thanksgiving!!

Bear

Front yard doesn’t need mowing right now.
You can see how wet the snow is by how the woods is so white.
The snow stuck to everything, as you can see:

Snow was awful wet for my Gravely blower:

Snow is almost as hard on my Leyland Cypress trees as the Buck Rubs are. Recognize the one on the right???

Nice Bear, thanks for sharing! Having been raised in NC Minnesota, I remember many days like that.

Arizona winters are not quite that hard, I have to mow the grass instead of shovel snow!

Nice pics.....nice to be inside and just look at it though. I was born & raised in NY so had my share of snow but do not miss it....LOL...especially at this age. Stay toasty.....Willie

Thanks Dick!!!

This was only our second Measurable snow of the season, and I'm tired of it already.

I gotta mow a lot more than I have to clear snow, but at least I can mow with shorts on & no shirt.

Bring it on. Lots of meats planned for cold smoking and miles of vertical to ski [where I live, to ski a vertical mile takes at least 8 runs :-(]

Looks Frosty! We've had freezing fog all day today. Freezing rain all yesterday. I'd prefer the snow! Okay actually I'd prefer to be in Hawaii right now!

Smoke away!!!

Gotta love the plow makes life easier! Beautiful pics I'm hoping no more snow till January when work slows down.

LOL----You can have all of ours!!

I would be willing to send all of our snow to Canada, and Half of our rain to Texas.

See how nice a guy I am??

Bear
It didn't snow here... it sure looks pretty!
LOL---Yeah I spent 54 weeks on Oahu back in '69 and '70------Never snowed down there then either.

Thanks b-one!!

Yup---That "Boss" V-plow is Awesome!! He also has a plow he took off his old Jeep, but he didn't put the mounts on his new Jeep yet. That one is better for getting in tight places.

However if it's a dry snow I like to use my Gravely with blower, because it does a much neater job.
