Hey Rick welcome - there is a whole section on Fruits Nuts etc and another on cheese in additon to the one that Ron sent - scroll down the main page and check them out

Like Ron showed you just go to the main page of this site and it will have aot of sections and some of them are sides and nuts and berries and differant stuff you can smoke. As Ron also asked please stop bye Roll Call and introduce yourself properly.

I did my first smoked turkey breast last year at Thanksgiving. I brined it overnight - and it was very good.

Smoked almonds are a nice appetizer for family gatherings. Other than that and the bird...I know my dad told me last year that my smoked ham was the best ham he'd had on Thanksgiving in a number of years!

I am smoking a ham and a large turkey BREAST this year...

I have deep fried a turkey for years. Last year I also smoked a spiral sliced ham. After that, corn pudding, sausage & apple dressing and mashed potatos & gravy are a must for me. Then all the family brings a dish or two. Ususally there is cole slaw, green bean casserole, broccoli casserole, cranberry sauce, orange fluff, sweet potato casserole and rolls. My mother-in-law usually brings a pumpkin cream cheese pie, if not I will make a pumpkin cake with cream cheese icing. I can post a recipe if anything sounds good to you.
