Thanks for the welcome Jeff.  Some Background Info:  First of all, forum member Mr Mac is my son-in-law and introduced me to this site.  I have been gleaning information from it for about a year and decided to join.  I retired from the US Navy in 1979 (Navy Chief Petty Officer E7) and since have retired from the Aerospace industry, after which the wife and I traveled the US 48 for five years driving an 18 wheeler.  Now fully retired, we live on a farm just south of Fort Worth, TX.  I have been smoking mainly brisket, chicken, and Boston Butt for years in Brinkman Smokers (charcoal/wood) - have went through several.  I just purchased a Masterbuilt Propane two door smoker and love it.  I have smoked St. Louis Spare Ribs and Brisket and both turned out great.  This smoker is so much easier to clean that the old one, plus I use much less wood.     This site has a ton of information - Thanks again!

Welcome Organdblk. Glad you found us. For more ideas than you thought possible, just read the forums! When you have questions, just ask. We will be glad to help.
