Thank You Alberstson's $1.65 Brisket

Our Albertson's has been taking really good care of us and have great meat. They constantly have pork butt less than $1 and really good steak sales. We are blessed to have them

Just got the Publix ad & they have butts for $1.99, & STL’s for $2.99.

Damn that is a great deal! Makes stomaching trimming 3-4 pounds of hard fat off a brisket much more manageable!

They had some really nice trimmed points for $4.99 but for $1.65 I just get whole and use the flat for corned beef.

I was hopping to grab one today but can't break away from meetings to make the trip over my lunch time lol.

FYI, this is a digital deal only so you have to use the JustForU app so Limit 1 is across Ablertsons/Tom Thumb/Safeway stores as a whole. It literally is only limit 1 period. Not 1 per day or 1 per store. It's done through the app so they easily enforce the limit of 1 through the app.

Now, if you have multiple people in your household that want to download and register in the app then you can get 1 per person. It's what my brother does hahaha.

Just wanted to explain all that so you don't waste time going from store to store like I did when I first learned how the digital deals and app worked :)

Yeah. I ended up going to Allen to Market Street and grabbed another. I don't need big ones for me. I usually use flat for corned beef. Found 2 with nice points and small flats. Best part was stopped at Noodle Wave for lunch. Man was that good.

I saw Market Street flyer had $1.77/lb limit 2 Briskets but they list "select" I have never known that place to carry select anything, only higher quality. Were the briskets choice or Angus when you went?

Man I missed that. So use to them carry Choice or above. I looked and it is select. Might be a good one to make something from but it is very flexible anyway. The only other ones where trimmed at $4.99

I went to find out and yeah they were select but I grabbed to for a total of 31 pounds of brisket. I picked the fattiest and bendiest ones. Didnt look any didfferent from a Choice brisket... that was just the cream of the crop. Plenty of obviously Select ones there haha. They had buy one get one baby backs that came to $2/lb

Yeah we get pretty good deals in the Dallas area. Hell for all of Texas I bet. Never had bad deals in other parts of the state :)
