Thanks. It was about 40 mins after starting coals, 20 after putting a mixture of a handful of apple chips and a couple of small peach chunks.

Depends on the length of the smoke. That would be good for about a half hour or so but I would thin it down after that. Just my preference.

In this pic of my smoker the smoke is telling me I need to poke the fire and get a bit of flame soon.

Usually when they first start up the smoke is a little heavy. As yours is.

After 30-45 minutes they settle in & the smoke thins out.

At least that has been my experience.

Ok thanks...It was actually a lot heavier 5 minutes prior to taking this picture. Closed the intake dampner and the smoke thinned to this.
