I would be covered if they were still those prices now!!! One like you have would be $50-75 now
LOL---They sure are different these days. Back in the 60s, you couldn't hardly see what they looked like for a week or two, when the big ugly hard scab fell off.

Had to wash it twice a day with "Listerine".

I kept it hidden until it healed, because rumor had it you could get an Article 15 in the Army for getting a Tattoo----"Destroying Government Property" (Your arm being Gov Property).

I've got 4. One covering each upper arm and one covering each side of my chest. Favorite was an anniversary gift from Miss Linda--a mace swinging guardian angel wearing a Harley tshirt

If I get my computer fixed so I can post pics, I'll put them on here

awesome would love to see them!

I've never had the desire. I know myself well enough that what I like one day, I change my mind the next. My daughter has two small ones; a Pi symbol on her left forearm (her birhday is 3.14), and the word "Dreamer" on her hip. Wasn't my idea.

There's an old saying I like, "Never get a tattoo where a judge can see it."

I like that Pi symbol for 3-14.

Great idea!!

I got mine high enough on my shoulder that it's above a short sleeve shirt. I never worried about any Beauty Contests.

If you can get a pic of the pi symbol show it to us ;-)

This is one of mine. It was done for my Dad who passed away in 2005. He worked for Norfolk Southern Railway. He was old school Rail Roader through and through. I spent 10 years running up and down the big road in a truck, still love trucks to this day. The background is the NW GA mountains in fall colors. The number in the engine is 4705 the year of birth and death of my Dad.

That is an awesome tribute to your dad! Thanks for sharing.

Australia's largest owl, the powerful owl( ninox strenua) perched in a very distinctive species of gum tree on my right shoulder blade.
On my left shoulder blade a version of my avatar, a king parrot sitting on the railings of my deck at Greenwell Point with the dairy farms & mountains in the background. I feed the king parrots, crimson rosellas & rainbow lorikeets whileI have breakfast .

I've got one that has been worked on three times.  First go 'round was as a 19 year old Sailor while inport Halifax, Nova Scotia.  Nary a bit of alcohol passed my lips prior to getting the tat but more than a few Mooseheads followed afterwards.  Got it touched up a few years later while in the Phillipines with the artist using bamboo.  Then a few years later in Hong Kong.

I always knew I was going to get a tattoo sooner or later but there were some criteria it would have to pass before I got one.

1.  It could not offend my grandma.

2.  I could have it covered up if need be.

3.  If for some reason someone saw it while in church I wouldn't be cast out.

Ended up getting a cross with a heart over the middle and a rose with the stem intertwined with the cross.  There is a sash across the heart that I put the date my bride married me and a few other dates of significant events in my life lower down on either side of the cross.  I need to add another date one of these days, though I've been saying that for the past six years now.  Will more than likely seeing about getting it recolored as it has faded a bit over the years.

I'll have to see if my wife will take a pic of it so I can post it up on here.

Great thread Brooksy!

As a woman "all about the ink," I applaud everyone's expression of bodyart, and am adorned in many tattoos as well, and look forward to my next.

Happy Thursday to all!

Cheers! - Leah

I have a Celtic cross on my left arm to show my faith and my family heritage. Plan on getting more when I can get the cash for them. My wife has a pair of stick girls on her back at the base of her neck, her twin has the same. Was going to get a pic of it but couldn't at this time.
