FINALLY got some Tatonka Dust for Father's Day.  Trying it out tonight on a few ribeyes.   Currently in the WSM with no heat and the AMNTS with Oak:

Will let them sit in smoke for a bit before firing the Summit.  More to come.

We like TD at this house, it's a nice change up seasoning !

You will like t dust.

Thanks guys - can't wait to try it.   Foam - you use this as a pepper shaker?

Yes sir, That too. I use it as I would any other spice, not really a rub. Its a group of spices which is perfectly blended for beef IMHO. Its like a dry steak sauce. It compliments instead of covering the flavors.

Course thats just my my humble opinion.

BTW Pop sometimes puts it on his eggs

Here is the pic from off the grill and sliced (the mushrooms were also on the smoker with oak and then fried in butter and garlic):

These were well done, too much so for me but perfect for the kids.  The TD was great!

Dang it man that looks great - Nice job!!

Way to make the wife and kids happy

Agree with Foamheart on the shaker. Only problem is it will disappear faster!

Thanks Duke, I got a 1lb bag and a shaker as a gift so hopefully it doesn't go too fast!
