Yes sir, that’s my staple right there. Good eats.
It helps to add leftover odd or extra husks to cover the tamales, if not just a plain cotton dish towel works also to keep the steam tight around the tamales When cooking them, just warming them up it’s not a big deal.

Ever smoked the meat that you put into the tamales? Always wanted to try, but never mustered the will power to do that much prep work.
 
Works for me! My wife made tamales once...needs a little more practice. Too much masa not enough meat!

I love good tamales. We are able to get super legit ones made by locals here in my hometown. They’ve always been amazing. What’s not to like about a pot of pintos!! Good stuff man.
 
I like the small corn/chicken tamale. Yes i put lemon juice in my beans, needs some acidity for me.
