Picked up some baby backs for the Eagles game tonight. These were the absolute best ribs I have ever made and eaten. Fantastic smoke ring and the meat was amazingly tender without falling apart. I been experimenting by smoking without sugar in any of my rubs. Instead I use stevia or monk fruit, and the flavor is out of this world good. I do not think I will ever use regular sugar again.

Tasty looking ribs! Lots of us just use SPOG, salt, pepper, onion, garlic for many meats sugar or substitutes aren’t the only way to make great meat!

Fine looking ribs Pitcom. No fan of artificial or processed foods, or sugar. I use Turbinado, (Raw), sugar on the rare occasions that I use rub at all. (Usually just season with a bit of salt, pepper, and garlic powder).

Turbinado is less prone to burn than brown, much less white, sugar.
