Wondering how stove black "wood" work on a smoker grill? Haven't heard of anyone using it 'BUTT" if it works good on a wood heater why not a smoker? Anyone actually try it?
Thanks,

Hey garyt, it's a liquid/paste?wax that is rubbed on.
Here is what I just found.
Restores unpainted cast iron and steel stoves and grills
Completely non-flammable and free of foul-smelling solvents
Unique formula uses only the highest-quality graphite and carbon black pigments.
So, doesn't look like it's made for painted surfaces. dang-it!

There are some polishes that appear to be for cast iron. These look like mostly waxes with probably carbon black pigments. Not recommended for exterior use and I would not use them on the inside of anything, since you don't know what is in them.
The do make some high temp paints that look tlike they would be usualble on a BBQ pit exterior.
Ceramic header paint is expensive! @ $25 to $30 per 4 ounces, final cost would be 50 maybe 60 or more?? I'm leaning toward can paint and brush it on. Anybody used a brush lately?
Aerosol with the EZ Touch[emoji]174[/emoji] Conical Nozzle!
12 oz.
