metal of the gods.
I have not been able to find one that is inexpensive. still looking for a SS drum to make one.

SS would be way cool for a UDS!
I'm grinding my food grade drum right now and it sucks.

Did you find one and for how much?

A stainless UDS would be cool

It would be really cool but why don't you just lay it down and make a regular smoker/grill out of it.

i was thinking about that also? wasnt sure which route i'm going to take..
Now here my million $$ question....
It came from a winery... no lining, do i still need to burn?

pickng it up on Saturday... this one is $125... kinda hard on the price. But i really can't burn it in my neigborhood... i would have SWAT kicking in my door.. ;-)

Stainless will last you forever. I paid alot for a brand new plain steel drum without liner. The stainless barrels in my area were way to much money. Sound like you got a deal. Post some pics!

When you pick it up, be sure to ask what the drum was used for. If it was used to store a consumable product then chances are it will have a food grade liner of some kind in it.
