I built a small smoke house and have a steel wood burner to supply the smoke for cold smoking bacon. I understand that its best to avoid galvanized piping. Can galvanization be removed by soaking the fittings in acid like vinegar? Is aluminum a safe alternative? Does the forum know of suppliers for ducting smoke to a smoke house? Thank you.

Aluminum vent pipe would be fine as well.
Home Depot out here carries it up to 6''.
