Done that many times, just without the carrots. I love that soup.

Do you work with barley much? I've made that same soup with barley instead of beans. Yesterday I made a batch with beef bullion cubes instead of the hocks, and a full pack of white mushrooms.

But yes, this is soup weather. Here now its 14F and windy.

BW Most of my Barley soups are with beef an shrooms.I used chicken bullion to cook the hocks,hocks I have mage with almost every kind of bean.

Richie, I don’t think they know what to predict anymore. We were forecasted to have 12+ inches. We got about 8” and then changed over to rain and now freezing rain.

It’s a slushy heavy mess, I might need TWO bowls of that soup.
 
Last snow we had it was heavy wet stuff,damn near killed me.Buying a snow blower as soon as I move LOL
