Here is what I done one time. We were staying in a motel once for a couple of days with no fridge. We were on the second floor and I sat out a six pack to keep it cold. When I went to get one there was a bottle gone. HMM, ok. I brought all in the room and promptly filled an empty with you guessed it, used beer. Put the cork back on and later it was gone.
Taught that #@$%^&^ a lesson.
I did that another time when some #@$$%$% stole a cigar that was sitting on a ledge where I worked. Went home and filled another bottle and the next day set it on the ledge when I left work. It was gone the next day also.

when somthin would get in grandaddys hen house, he would run a string across the hole they dug, tie one end to a post and the other end to the trigger on his shotgun, then he would take the shot out of the shell and put in a piece of fatback, usually did the trick. The fatback would stick to whatever it hit and would be sizzlin from the blast.

When I put up my two cameras I checked on the laws here and and the signs only apply to places which are accessable to the public and to where the public is invited. Like restaurants, grocery stores, banks, etc.
A simple "No Trespassing" sign covers that quite nicely. It means that the general public is not welcome on this parcel of private land and that once past that point the trespasser is at his own risk and cannot hold the landowner liable.
Now, while I started out mentioning a civil manner with which to possibly identify the purps in this heinous crime you will notice that I did not mention how to handle the jerks once caught. Use your imagination from this point forward.
BTW I grew up in Maine and know of at least one BOOM that ended what would have been a pleasant warm evening.

Sounds like the 'No Trespassing " signs may help legally cover yer butt a bit.

Yeah, I still read the Globe when I'm at my sisters. Town hasn't change a whole lot. Still like it better then here though. Lot cleaner town. Just found out your new, well kinda new police chief was a good friend of mine when we where kids. Bet it's been...a long time ago.
After finishing the hole, just insert dynamite and cap the hole, please make sure you don't put it in your smoker---pretty easy , HUH??

that is about the stupidis thing I have heard of. and I hope it is just a joke.
some idiot steals wood has 4 wonderful kids at home who think that is was bought or chopped get blown up. I sure hope the atf ain't read this thread.
