i have seen guys on here from Texas complaining about 1 inch of snow , here in Colorado

and many other places around the country as well as our neighbors to the north we would call that a light frost !!

but by the same token what i might mention as a fair snow here ( about 12 inches ) someone in Minnesota might call it a "light snow "

i grew up in the deep south and there,  anything in the low 30s was COLD !!!  now i might laugh at that now, as anything above +10 in January isn't so cold now as we sometimes get well below zero  ...lol

whereas some here on the forum from Canada might say minus 15 aaaaw thats not so bad

so its all relative  to where we live

I lived in various parts of MN fo my first 45 yrs.

Including 2 yrs at 2/3 up the state, working as an Electrician at a Taconite Plant, about 20 mornings a year  when I drove to work,  at about 25 below 0 F.

I ,hated it as I grew older, and moved to the TX Gulf Coast.

Now, after 12 years of that, I am TIRED of the summer heat and humidity, and want to go back soooo bad to the" North Shore" of Lake Superior.

But then, I think of my Diabetic Neuropathy feet, and maybe glad I'm still here in TX.         Marc

And here in S.E. Wisconsin I hoping for more snow.  I feel that if it si going to be cold, it might as well snow.  This freezing rail / ice is just crap!

I have to say I'm in. I live in Canada about 500 miles north of Great Falls MT. Temp is -15F. It's cold but at least no wind today. We have about a foot of snow so it's not that bad for a winter here so far. But I sure do miss the south. After doing some traveling there during our winter.... Walking around in shorts and people looking at us like we are wierd, and then it's oh your canadian....But I love south of our border, Great people and great food.

i'm with you on this , i kinda like the snow so if its going to be cold , might as well have the snow

Been working outside ( again ) never fails , new building out of the ground start in December . Stayed home today due to ice . So used to being outside I keep my house set at 65 degrees and it's still to warm in here . Mid 20's today , think I'll go outside and read the paper .
