Fathers day is approaching so I decided to treat myself with a SmokinTex 1400 electric smoker with cart. They are currently running fathers day specials so I figured now is the best time to buy. Shipping was 1 day (super fast) and I'm currently seasoning the unit. I borrowed my neighbors unit about 5 years ago and was impressed with the ease, use and quality of the product it produced. Once seasoned I'll post cook photos. Take care y'all....

First cook done in the 1400. I didn't get a chance to cook a brisket but I was able to do 2 racks of baby backs. Seasoned with salt, pepper, paprika, brown sugar and cayenne. I used apple wood, set cook temp at 225° & cooked the ribs for 4 1/2 hours. They were pretty dang tasty!
