Smoking on my birthday

Hey folks.  I thought I'd just post a little note to the forum while I sit out in my back yard tending to my smoker that is filled with spare ribs.  Today is my birthday, and I decided the one thing I wanted to do on my birthday was to sit back and smoke some ribs.  So here I am...  beautiful sunny 70 degree cloudless day, birds chirping, an ice cold beer, wonderful thin blue smoke.  It really is the perfect day.  I think I'm going to make this my new standing tradition--smoking on my birthday.  Don't worry; I've been taking pics and will be posting the Q-View in the pork forum shortly.

Thanks Deuce & oldschoolbbq.  I feels like I haven't smoked anything in a long time.  So, I found the best excuse.  I am also planning on doing salmon this Saturday, and in a couple weeks I'm going to bite the bullet and try my first brisket.  Wish me well.

Happy birthday---fine looking Q.  Just to make your birthday even better, check this out.  It is now officially the first day of spring.  It is SNOWING and cold.  Miss Linda headed to Edmonton this morning and when she turned off the range road onto the highway, she did an instant 180.  She came home.  LOL  So make the most of your bday
