Any reason to avoid using a MES in the rain, besides getting wet?

I've never used mine in the rain, so I can't speak from experience. But with the electrical components, as well as the electronic controller, being exposed to water, I would be very reluctant to have mine out in the direct rain. I have a 10' pop up tent that I use over mine if the weather looks like it might not cooperate.
