Smokin' Newbie from the Alpine Desert of New Mexico

I've "stolen" enough great ideas from this website I figured it was way overdue to join.

I've been grilling since I graduated IU 35 years ago, switching back and forth from charcoal to gas (LP).  Recently with my move to the high desert of Santa Fe, I switched to an CharBroil infrared grill which has been a complete relearning experience given how fast they cook.

But in the last year I bought my first smoker (CharBroil again ... Digital Electric) and have fallen in love with the art of smoking.  I'm clearly at the "fingerpaint" stage but my wife, neighbors and myself have generally been pleased with results to date.

I certainly plan to "steal" more great ideas.  And perhaps I can start paying back by posting a few myself!
