The wife and I have to start the bucket list which means travelling this great country in a fifth wheel. Space is at a premium but I still want to smoke. We need a portable smoker on the small side no more family dinners. I saw a master built portable at Lowe's. Any recommendations on it or anything else. Thanks in advance

I have to back the WSM. I have never owned one only because I have a UDS, but as far as I'm concerned, I think the WSM will give you decades of service with the best of portability. You can always get charcoal when you need it and you won't be putting another burden on your propane supply.

You really need something that breaks down then.

A Dyna-Glow compact water smoker retails at $69.00 and is $130.00 cheaper than a small Weber and has more cooking space..it's lighter and shorter but handles on the smoker make it wider than a weber. can check those out at home depot maybe. Not as nice or hands free I would imagine.
You probably won't worry so much about Set it and forget it and having the top of the line function if you are using it while your there close by.
There are a few smallish propane and electric cabinet style smokers. Use chips or pellets . I would think campers would use charcoal for stuff anyway though.

Saw this on line at Walmart, might fit your needs.  It does run on propane, but so does your stove, so it would just replace that usage.  It is small for camping but enough to feed two easily.

The one consideration, do you want to store and take, even the next day, charcoal coals in your camper?  Even just warm ones?  Propane there is no fire except for a little ash, easily cleaned out before you leave to the next stop.  Just consider it.  If you didn't have it you'd be burning propane on the inside burners/stove.

How about a Kettle, then you could use it as a smoker or a griller. Breakdown is fairly easy and shouldn't take up to much space.
