Have smoke going right now have had most of the day

Smoke needs to rise so unless I wanted to cut the drum down or bury it this is what I came up with I will probably add some steps

That'll be coming right now I want to play with it and see how long the smoke lasts and get some input from the "Drum King" aka BBQ Bubba on the design and performance of the drum

Nice job there Piney, that should work out great.
But it will look better loaded!

Nice rig Jerry. Man that is huge.

Jerry, great smoke house. Love it. Here is a tip for you. If you find that the smoker temp is still too hot for you, or you don't have enough draft, cut a hole in the floor close to the smoke intake and put a vent there, You will be able to adjust it from the outside.

Great job.

jerry is that gonna double as a deer stand??? with the stilts and all??? LOL...looks good man, you can hang a bunch a sausage in there at one crack!!!!!

Good job ... Simple design ...

Need something in it other than smoke ...

I know its a smokehouse, and you know its a smoke house but people from the old days will think you didn't bury the septic tank deep enough or make it big enough

PS how the heck are you going to fit 8 deer in there?

If you can get a bobcat or small loader or as a last resort a shovel. Dig a slanted hole big enough to walk around in that way your drum would be below ground level and mostly always out of the wind. Your smoke house would be level with the ground and easy to get into.
Sure. Its Not a good Idea in flood country but otherwise do-able and viable.

Nice Piney - very nice. Kinda big for a fatty though

Can't wait to see it full and in business.
