Thanks Chile!! On one hand I don't disagree about throwing the green on but I do actually like veggies. My preference is not cooking them but Tracy asked for the green beans last night. It was worth it. I got as kiss for :emoji_wink: this meal.

It was my idiotic conglomeration of junk to catch the juices from the roast. Sad part is after all of that, I got nothing. The meat is so lean nothing melted into the pan. Oh well...it was still a superb roast.

I'm trying buddy!! Gives me more reasons to cook different stuff. It's not that I enjoy cooking or eating, it's all about the learning process of the new grill :emoji_laughing:
Thank you for the LIKE!! Very much appreciated,.

Robert
Well, if there'd been juices to collect.
If it works it ain't stupid.

I really like how you showcase the different cuts of beef from your Piedmontese supplier....it really makes knowing what I want to order that much easier!!

Somehow I overlooked this part of it earlier. It's kind of ironic that you should say this. My sales manager at Certified Piedmontese is also named Joe and he says the exact same thing :emoji_laughing: Apparently he has been following my follies for the past few months and I got an email from his this morning with his accolades.

If/when you decide to order, shoot me a PM. I'll walk you through all the different cuts and help to key you in on the best ones and some of the "bargain" cuts. Those are also superb and a great buy. It's been a lot of fun finding this stuff. They have so many different cuts to choose from and you're limitless in what you can do with the product. Heck, they have steaks and such that I'd never heard of....and they're fantastic. Matter of fact,it's probably time for me to inventory my stash and see if I need to place another order.

Robert

You should be getting kickbacks for free advertising.

Let's just say that my efforts do not go unnoticed :emoji_wink: Please know however, I'm not in this for kickbacks. I only do it so other people can see how good this stuff is. Not much different than everybody talking about Costco or any other retailer. The only difference is this is a vastly superior product than anything you'll ever get from other retailers, and a better value. I'm more into getting away from working right now than I am about taking on more :emoji_laughing:

Robert

Rotisserie is a GREAT way to cook them. I just wanted one smoked and I wanted to play with my new toy :emoji_laughing: Here are links to a couple of threads I did with eye round roasts. Not exactly the same but very similar.

The first one was from Costco and the second one was Certified Piedmontese. Both were really, really good!!

Robert
Thanks! Both of those look fantastic!

Very much appreciate the commentary Jimmy. Thank you. Insofar as the aforementioned veggies, we prefer fresh green beans that I lightly steam in a pan on the stove. Asparagus is always tossed with EVOO, some seasonings, and grilled. Tracy will sometimes get green beans in a can as a backup if we don't have fresh but I'd rather run the mile to the store and get fresh unless I'm in a big time crunch.

Robert

Forgot you live in a more populated area. We do fresh when available but fresh can be hard to get out in the sticks...JJ

If it works it ain't stupid.

Ok...you got me on this one. I concede defeat and will consider it at least a creative approach to accomplishing what I set out to accomplish. If only there'd been some juice to collect....

Raising the white flag....again,
Robert

Nice job Robert!
Looks fantastic!
Al

Thank you Al!! Very much appreciate the commentary, the LIKE, and the carousel ride. That is a very pleasant surprise and I am honored.

Liking pleasant surprises,
Robert

Dang Bro, you're to quick and easy to surrender.
Ya have any French ancestry?
J/K

Nope, no French ancestry at all. I'm just one that can see the merit of particular commentary and see the error of my ways, and you made a very good point. When you consider that every invention from the dawn of time has been created by a conglomeration of unrelated parts to accomplish a particular goal, you made a lot of sense of what seemed silly to me at the time I came up with it. By no means am I one to back down unless there is just cause :emoji_wink:

Nice cook on roast! In my opinion meat and potatoes "IS" whats for dinner!

We do garlic mash all the time at our house. We like ours silky so we use a ricer to run them through. It makes the task simple and quick!

It didn't take you long to meld with that new smoker Robert, that plate looks fantastic. I'm more of the spinach type myself, but green beans are an acceptable alternative.

Point for sure
Chris

Congrats on the Carousel ride!
Damned if you haven't deserved one for awhile, some fine cooks coming out of your place.

Thank you John!! As much as I appreciate the carousel ride on this one, I'm kinda surprised. My bacon cheddar burgers were recently featured and I understand the necessity of the mods showcasing different people, different meals, and different approaches to preparing them.

It's a beautiful thing,
Robert

Like I said before, Welcome to the Easy Bake Oven Club :emoji_wink:. Many nights of sleeping easy while doing long cooks are in your future.

Not sure how I missed this... Phenomenal job as per usual! That roast looks mighty fine and has me biting at my screen here at work!

Like I said before, Welcome to the Easy Bake Oven Club :emoji_wink:

Well then....you seem to have this infatuation with, and a knowledge of, Easy Bake ovens that goes far beyond what I've seen anybody else post here. I can only guess that you have one buried amongst all your Barbi Doll toys, which you probably have not had out to play with in at least 2 weeks. Based on your obvious experience with the aforementioned Easy Bake oven, here is my proposition for you: you go dig out your Easy Bake oven, pack it in the truck, and bring it out to the house. I'll provide all the food (except for the deviled eggs of course) and we will have a cook off: me and the Bull against you and your Easy Bake oven. You can cook anything you want except for Dino Ribs. That's my choice. Mayhap you could do some of those tater bombs (they look amazing by the way!!) and if you're able to pull of the cook, we could have a decent and coinciding meal. This could be fun and interesting. I can only imagine the pics I would take of you in your little pink apron standing vigil over your infamous little Easy Bake oven trying to keep up with the Bull.

Love some good natured ribbing :emoji_laughing:
Robert

That looks awesome! A meal to make any farmboy happy. Just happened to get a couple sirloin roasts at the store today. Went in for turkey drumsticks and seen roasts on sale, can't understand why my wife sometimes doesn't trust me going to the meat counter by myself.
Just read a post from smokinvol and the roast he smoked, he mentioned your beef rub. Care to share your recipe? Figure it must be good if others are talking about it.
Thanks
Ryan
