Smoked Sausage & Strawberry Rhubarb Pie

Awesome smokies never had strawberry pie with rhubarb in it . Do love just plain strawberry pie though. That Bear keeps eating like he has been lately its going to be a long winters nap this year.

I love Strawberries, but in a Pie they're a little too sweet.
And Rhubarb on it's own is a little "Tart".
However together they are Outstanding!!

Great write up Bear! Would these links do well in the smoker? I'm thinking of what @foamheart said about "double smoking". Sausage and pie, another great American meal.

Looks delicious, Gma used to make strawberry rhubarb pie all the time. Wish I had her recipe, been a long time since I've had.
Like

Once Mrs Bear has this perfected, I'm going to do a Step by Step on it.
I always loved My "Nanny's" Strawberry Rhubarb Pie, and about 20 years ago my BIL made a real good one. Now this one Mrs Bear made was the first one to be that good, and that includes a few store bought.

Yup--I think the trick is to get the mix just right.
Not too sweet from the Strawberries & not too sour from the Rhubarb.
