Ok so after seeing a bunch of recipes and methods I decided to give it a try today for lunch.

1/3 pound meat (I mix 10% pork fat in my Elk burger)
1 Tbs of my Home brew BBQ sauce
2 Tsp of bread crumbs
cajun seasoning and cracked black pepper to taste on top

Smoked it in the BBGOSM at 300 for 20 minutes with Hickory. Had the smoker warmed up and putting out the TBS before I put the burger in. After the 20 minutes I piled on shredded chedder, and jack cheese. Nice big pile. Let smoke another 10 to 15 minutes. Put the whole thing on sourdough buttered and toasted.

Best burger I have ever made!

Thanks to the threads on here, I have another favorite.
Sorry no qview. Wife took the camera with her today.
