I was just wondering if anybody has tried a smoked chuck roast. Had it at a BBQ joint in Illinois about a week ago. And it was pretty darn good.

I have Chuckie Burnt Ends in the smoker right now... And a big Butt too.

Chuckies are great smoked, slice'em, pull'em or make burnt ends.
Heck, you find a real nice one and you can cook and eat it like a big steak
We usually try to slice or treat like a big steak. smoke to about 150 and let rest (women here like their meat a little more done) and then slice with some veggies.

I do one or two a month.  My wife prefers that, pulled, over my pork.  Now, with that said, I won't buy a boneless chuck let a lone smoke one.  I don't know why but that is my rule.  I have never tried one that wasn't pulled.

Almost spit out my coffee when I read your first line.
The cannibals have always said that people taste like pork aka Long Pig.
Don't bury your enemies, eat them.

Easy 7 hour drive, leave right now and you'll just make dinner.

Also... I keep meaning to ask you, "What was your Qual Boat?"
USS Sculpin SSN 590.  I used to live in Slidell, LA and would drive over to Battleship Park on weekends to be a tour guide on the USS Drum.
