well I smoked some spare ribs yesterday and the were Great!!!

I do have a question about seeing a smoke ring in smoked meats . I am using a masterbuilt 40 1st gen with a AMNPS . I lit both ends of the pellets to generate more smoke yet  I dont get a visable smoke ring . You can taste the smoke but no ring .

Should I care ?

Nope you shouldn't. You won't get much of a smoke ring unless you smoke with wood and or charcoal.

The smoke ring is important to some people not so much for others. It has nothing to do with taste tho so really isn't important in the grand scheme of things.

Smoke ring is not important unless you are on TV?

Then the "experts" require it.

Good luck and good smoking.

It may not mean anything but it sure adds nice color to meat. I for one like havin a nice ring.

Don't bother trying to get a smoke ring.....it won't make a difference on how the final product tastes.
