I'm constantly amazed at the helpful, sharing nature of the members of this Forum.  And I shouldn't be.

I just smoked my first brisket

http://www.smokingmeatforums.com/t/262610/first-brisket-a-success

and I wouldn't have had any idea where to even start were it not for so many members of SMF.  Where I come from, brisket is about as rare as frog's teeth, so I was completely in the dark.

I read countless Brisket posts, trying to learn the basics.  Most of my education came from Gary, down in Texas (gary s).  From his posts and PMs I finally reached a point where I felt confident to throw a brisket into the MES.

Thanks SMF.

Thank you Gary

It's truly amazing how much knowledge is available on here.

And freely exchanged!

Great brisket BTW!

Gary I agree with you 100%, I have learned so much here, done more with confidence and even shared some stuff, The best part is that everybody shares and is supportive, There is no ridiculing or making people feel awkward, IMO it is the best smoking/q site and more out there.
