Yesterday was announcing to be an awesome day, had no plans to leave the house for long so i decided it would be a great day for some pork butt smoking.

Also thawed two chickens to fill the smoker. One didn't make it to Sunday...family wanted chicken dinner on Saturday (hot and fast on the gas gril).

The butts, being smalled, cooked fast-ish (about 5h). Used lump charcoal and chunks. Chicken was done very fast since it was spatchocked with breast bone/ribs removed.

You will laugh at us...but we didnt eat that chicken or butt yesterday. I only snacked on the pork while pulling it. They all went into the freezer. Why you ask?
My wife baked some cheese rolls - traditional meal for (eastern) Pentecost.

These are the savory kind, drenched in sour cream after baking/slicing and put back in the oven to crust up.

Looks artery clogging good! You could make a sammie out of it with the pulled pork and die with a smile on your face.

Don't blame ya for saving the pork with those cheese rolls! But now...what if you make a pork sammie with the cheese roll..

Yep, everything looks great!
It’ll all eventually get eaten so it’s all good.
