Smoking a sirloin tip roast tomorrow and was wondering if anyone marinades theirs before smoking it? Also, what type of wood would taste best with it?

I actually like Mojo Crillio for Beef. Find it in the Ethnic isle. I tend to lean towards Badia over Goya. Much thicker and adheres to the meat better. My choice of wood for beef, is usually Oak and Cherry mix.
