South Louisiana-Yes, it is HOT
Knocked all the pecans down off my sister's tree..

I picked those in about 20 minutes. When I left, they had 5 buckets full and they were about half way done...

Wow, Squirrel Heaven! My family in TX used to send Pecans from their trees. Grandma made some great pies with them. It was fun, as a kid, to shell them. Now...Not so much with Arthritis...JJ

Well I’m glad you found something good about that storm!
So many folks suffering, it’s hard to watch it on TV!

Yeah...tough to watch.

I got family that lived in Creole prior to Laura. Not any more now though. Laura took everything from 7 families, not much else Delta could have destroyed there...the entire town has basically been wiped off the map.

Thanks for the like indaswamp it is appreciated.

Wow sorry to hear about your folks in Creole.

Some luck for you from the storm not so good for others.
Did you also get some pecan wood??

Warren
Plenty of pecan wood on our end. We will be cutting up a whole tree this weekend. Not huge, it was still a young tree. Probably 18" - 24" diameter.

When I drove back in to Lake Charles on saturday, it was hard to tell what was done from Laura or Delta. This will be a long recovery for everyone. Im blessed to be in my undamaged house while listening to the generator in the background. I had just got power back 1 1/2 weeks prior to Delta but feel blessed as can be.

Sad news for those in your area but for the better you are all alive.
Nice smoking wood coming this weekend for sure.

Found some pecan along the bayou in town ...on city property so no one cares if I take it, saves the city time to remove it...
