LOVE smoked meat balls. Use them in sauce (see below), on pizza, to make sandwiches...........SO GOOD! I used to make small ones, then found I like the big ones better.
Now, smoked meat balls will make a homemade Italian sauce taste smoky. I have had people say they don't like the smoke taste in the sauce on their pasta, but they love the smoked meatballs. If I'm making sauce for a crowd, I no longer put the meatballs in the sauce. I serve the smoked meatballs on the side and let people sauce them or not. That way the pasta doesn't taste smoky from the sauce.
