Aright, had some family over yesterday. Decided to grill Ribs, Tri-Tip, Chicken, Corn. I have never grilled ribs with direct heat. So wanted test it out and see.
So fired up the Scottsdale with Almond / Peach wood.
Ribs got a dry rub mix: Sweet and Spicy, then glaze or sauce at the end.
Tri-Tips dry rub: with course SPG
Chicken Breast, thighs, legs: All got Pecan rub
Corn: Cowboy butter rub
Everything turned out good. On the ribs, I like smoked ribs alot better. My wife and 1 of my kids said they like the grilled ribs better. For me there is no contest, smoked ribs just have a better richer flavor profile. The way ribs are supposed to be in my mind.
But fun cook, good family time, and pretty good food. Always fun to experiment with new methods.
Oh, side not, didnt want to wash dishes so the wife said paper plates. Dont judge me...... lol.
