Today at 4 am I tried to start my propane smoker. Yet it wouldn't light, I could here the propane seeping in. Yet the flame wouldn't catch. Well after one more try it took. Yet instead of the flame coming out of the burner. It was instead shooting out like a torch. What happened is that my burner, and the tube happened to be rusted out and simply fell off when I lite the propane. I need advice on how to replace it. I'm not sure what type of smoker it is. My dad handed it down to me. I don't want to get rid of it, I'd like to fix it instead. What websites would be good for generic parts?

I'd start at Home Depot and Lowes. They often have generic parts you can use. Then if that doesn't pan out try Amazon. There are also threads here on making your own burners from black steel pipe. Lots if options. Posting some photos of your setup and the parts that rusted out would be helpful in answering your questions.

Here is the whole set up that i have.

That is where the burner sits, it was fully rusted out.

The burner, and the tube its connected to.

Just a close up of the inside.

Side view of where the burner sits.

So it looks like your smoker is a Great Outdoor Smokey Mountain, which then became Landman, and now is something else. So there are actual replacement parts out there.

So I've found out that my smoker is actually a discontuied model. I've found the parts number.

My question now is, does anyone know if I can use a different part from a model that is being made from the same company? I've already E-mailed them and I haven't gotten a response back.

ANY LUCK ON YOUR PARTS.  JUST GAVE MY 3605BGD TO A FRIEND AND HE HAS THE SAME PROBLEM WITH THE VENTURI TUBE.
