George passed this morning. He was a great actor and his Norm character on Cheers was my fav on the show.

He could always make me laugh on Cheers. Probably my most memorable one liner of his was “It’s a dog eat dog world, Sammy and I am wearing milk bone underwear.”

Rest In Peace George. Thoughts and prayers to George, his fam and friends.

I haven't seen that show in years... RIP!

NORM! I'll have a drink in his honor 🍻

Great character actor with a legacy of social influence, "Norm".
Was Norm a cheap beer (bud, mich coors,) drinks or fancy beer (Sam Adam's)? I mean he was in Boston. I'm thinking yuengling personally.
Regulars are usually supped with the owner's preference.

@Fueling Around hmm interesting thought. My local beer slingers that know me know the style I like and just pour that. I think I picture Norm as not exactly blue collar beer but not top end either. I'm thinking he be a yuengling drinker. Not high end but not Bud lol.

My guess is Norm was a guy who liked 2 kinds of beer, cold & free. George Wendt made people smile. My late father loved Cheers. It was his favorite show.

Show was just a little before my time. I was be 10 in 1982 and 9PM was LATE :emoji_laughing: . I got into a little on reruns and Cliff was my guy then Frasier later on. That being said, Norm made that beer look so dang good!
