Well, my MB smoker stopped heating in the middle of my pork shoulders smoking. Figured it was the element since replaced several times for same reason.

This time, however, one wire to the element was burnt all the way to where it enters the box.

Anyone know how to replace this wire? The braided covering is completely disintegrated…the terminals were also completely melted away on both wires.

MES electric are notorious for poor wiring.
Here's the start to look into your repairs
 


If you have fried wiring from the bottom PCB to the heating element junction box it's time to abandon the oem controller and bypass all Mes electronics. Pics are needed.
