Got around to try slicing some of this Frick's ham for sandwiches. For comparison sake I smoked one on the kettle with hickory chunks and the other we sliced straight out of the package. Both were fricken good! We both slightly preferred the double smoked one though. The extra smoky flavor and just a bit firmer texture were worth the trouble. I sure hope Walmart around here keeps these in stock now that the holidays are over. If so my days of buying ham at the deli counter are over!
