Wife's niece is getting married in a couple of weeks and we would like to treat her and her new husband to a nice, romantic evening meal in San Antonio.  Can anyone recommend a good restaurant that will be able to make their visit something special?

Thanks,

Al

Yes, take them to one of the fabulous Resturants on the River Walk ; you get a choice of Traditional ,Mexican , Cajun , or S.W. styles , you choose , a bit on the costly side , but isn't evreything

Take them downtown to Market Square to La Margarita or Mi Tierra.

Mi Tierra is open 24 hrs a day. Both are excellent. You can park in one of the lots there or at River Center Mall parking garage and ride the trolley there for 75 cents.  Now, knowing that., down on the River Walk is "The Original Mexican Restaurant.".,., the food is inexpensive but is it good.., not a lot of flash or cash but just right. It is the oldest restaurant on the River Walk. Any of thos I mentioned are good. Thats where we have been eating for years. They do get busy at times, so be patient. Its worth it.

Where were you guys 6 months ago?  We made reservations for the newlyweds at one of the places on the Riverwalk and they had a great time.  Set me back a buck fifty but they enjoyed themselves.

It has been 40 years, so I am no help.

I have fond memories of San Antonio and New Braunfels!

The Wurstfest in New Braunfels is worth the trip if anyone is there at that time of year.  It is also an absolutely beautiful little town!

Good luck and good smoking.

Just don't send them to Dick's unless they have a real good sense of humor.
