I decided to build my own smokehouse, and while things are going smoothly so far, I have some questions that I cannot find answers to anywhere it seems.
I want to create an inner smoke chamber and am wondering what material to use. Keeping a budget in mind, I am thinking plywood sheet but does anyone think the glues or material used in plywood could release toxic fumes during hot smoking (240 deg f)?
If I could find thin sheets of aluminum like that used in commercial (cheaper) smokers, that would be great. No luck finding it in anything other than expensive 12" squares though.
Ideas? Comments?
Thank you all.
