I love my Rec Tec RT-700!!! had it two years and its rock solid! LOVE IT! Works great, cooks great. If you need to call them they are AWSOME - service is unparalleled.
I would not recommend a Trager. heard of way too many issues, breakdowns etc.

Do you use your rev tec as a grill as well as a smoker or just smoker?Ditto everything Dave said. Heard good stuff about Camp Chef and Pit Boss, but not so much about the Traeger. Like Dave also,I have an RT 700 and absolutely love it. Thing is built like a tank, perform flawlessly, and customer service is second to none.

Purchased my first pellet smoker 6 months ago, a treager. Should have done my homework, I have to clean it out every 2 to 3 uses along with the temp probe. FYI, I have 3 other smokers but wanted something I could grill with and not have to check on for a few hours, fat cap briskets take a few hours. Just my opinion.Looking to get a new smoker. what are your thoughts?
Rec Tec , Traeger or others? and why Pro's/cons
Thanks

Porterhouse Steak: Go Big? Stay Home? (W / Pics)
Got a craving last night for a really good steak so decided to do both: go big AND stay home. Got a 2 pound 4 ounce Porterhouse out of the freezer, defrosted it, and seasoned it up with my beef rub.
