I didn't have enough charcoal to get the heat up to 225. It was around 220 for over an hour. I'm going to have to season it again huh? I've opened up the dampers and chimney some in an attempt to raise the heat level and hoping that will work.
 
I’m sure you will be fine. Can you smell any paint or perhaps oils ( factory stench) when you open the lid? If it smells like a smoker inside then you should be good to go.

What smoker did you get?
If it's rolled steel, a 1 hour seasoning may not be enough to protect the steel from rust.
