Hi all. New here. Due to my redneck nature I'm converting a propane grill into a smoker. Fabricated the Fire box with a propane burner inside. Made my chip boxes. The fire box is 12x12x16 with a 3 in pipe exhausting into grill. Grill is sealed with a baffle and a 3 in 1w in long outlet. My issue is that I can only get the grill up to 170 degrees with the burner on high. What am I missing? Thanks in advance

Won't let me upload images for some reason. I added more intake size and adjusted my baffle inside to grill. Got it up to 205 tonight. I'm happy with that. As long as I can maintain 180 I'm happy. Want to be able to get 4-5 hrs of good smoke and little baby sitting
