I am having trouble keeping pellets burning in my mailbox mod, it is on a fridge conversion. I have a 3 in. exhaust from the fridge with a 3 in. exhaust from the mailbox. Mailbox sets right below the fridge with only an inch of pipe between and enters box in center of the electric heater. The intake in mailbox works out to same sq. inches as 3 inch pipe. I have tried 2 ft. of exhaust and 4 ft.
Trying to cool smoke at around 100 to 120 degrees. pellets will burn for about 1 hour and go out. When it is burning I get a good flow of smoke out the exhaust and great smoke in smoker. I dry the pellets for half hour in oven at 220 with door open.
I have used dust at these temps but don't like the amount of smoke that i get.
Any ideas??
