Hi Everyone. My name is Jon and I live in Austin, Texas. I've used this site for awhile now as an observer/lurker and have gained some great tip/tricks from it. I've slowly become more serious about the science of smoking good meats and as I continue to experiment, I hope to be able to share anything I learn with others. Here is a pic of my pit...it's a reverse flow custom pit from Johnson Custom Smokers (Ultimate Patio Trailer). I've done wood/charcoal cooking before so not such a bad learning curve with it but I've only had it for <2 weeks. So far, I've only cooked brisket and beef ribs on it!
