I got some nice cherry and oak wood and a finally a chance to fire up my new to me vintage Lang 84D. Threw in a few pork butts, a small piece of belly both rubbed with a nice sugar free rub subbing in Brown Swerve. Also made a full pan of my keto cowboy beans. Rolled smoke with mostly the cherry wood and mixed in a little bit of the greener oak. I’m going to love this Lang!! Nice thin blue smoke all day effortlessly. She still needs blasted and painted but man the first cook went well. Managed to run about 250-275 all day. I thin all the tips on here on fire management absorbed into my head lol. All the meats came out super juicy and I have to say my beans are . A few more things to whip up tomorrow to make a killer plate. I’ve been shopping for a truck to pull the Lang and haul wood. Good chance I’ll need a chain saw and splitter too lol she loves to eat the wood!!
