Yesterday I smoked a boston butt that I got on sale.
I set up my Weber kettle for low and slow.

I fired up the weber and loaded a few oak chunk

on the butt I used texas style pork rub got at Store.

Once the weber was rolling I threw on the butt.

my simple but effective setup.
Kingsford briquettes and white oak wood chunks.
For the drip pan I just used some water I heated in the tea kettle.

At 160, the butt had an awesome bark, so I pulled it and wrapped it, threw it back in the smoker.

I pulled the butt at 205, put it in a cooler to let it rest.
I loaded some more charcoal and put a chuck of apple wood, and put some baked beans on the smoker for an hour.
This was a first time I've tried this.

This was the finished product. Oh man it was good!
I got some Stubb's sweet honey and heat.

Overall this turned out really good.

Awesome!

After the 1st time I did baked beans in the smoker I have to have them done in the smoker.

Looks great man!I just picked up my 1st weber kettle a 22' master touch I can't wait to slow smoke a butt with it! I'm experienced with my offset smoker and propane box smoker but I'm new to the kettle game. Going to try a pizza for dinner tonight with it.
