Being operated on 7:15 am wed (tomorrow) right carotid artery is ulcerated & throwing clots and 60%
Blocked; right vertrebral artery is 90% blocked but too risky to operate on but carotid will be. 70% chance will be success, 30% chance it will result in massive stroke or death; i'm betting on the 70 lol!!! Will post when I can!

Yep, surgery was a success.  He cleaned out right carotid completely, slitting it all the way open the length of it then sutured it back up, plus glued it.. Not a typo... yes, glued it with 'skin glue', then glued the incision closed, only had one stitch to hold the drain tube in and he removed that with the drain tube this morning.  They eventually got all the rest of the tubes out and released me, just got home.  Thank you all for the best wishes and I'll get back to business once i have some recovery time.  I do notice a reduction in coherence thru typing on the left side again, not typing or having to retype almost every word, so there was some stroke interference, probably from the operation.

Man-o-man.... been a rough year for us SMF members. Pops best of wishes and luck on your surgery, let us know how you are doing when you get a chance..... on the plus side I can tell you from experience the hospital food will knock a good 10-20 lbs off of your weight... lol.
