not sure what you signed up for but a user name, a password and a valid email address is all that is required, no personal info, not one phone call and i believe one email about going to a photobucket premium account, nothing you describe seems right. i have hundreds of pics in my PB album and no probs. i like the photo bucket over image shack cause as a post viewer if lookin at an image shack pick you have to click to get a viewable pic at least thats what i see, maybe its just us comp illiterate peeps but i will take a PB post over an IS post any day for viewing. PB you can set pic size and it will post a nice pic in your text and just view. user friendly

Forluvofsmoke,

This sounds a lot like a case of...

I said I did this big huge awesome smoke and I really didn't and now I blame it on the photobucket website.

You know the rules. No pics, it didn't happen.

JUST ADMIT IT!

Flash,

Sorry the photos are so big, but they are pretty clear and sharp. I did have a couple shots that I squeezed-off too quickly and the camera had not completed it's focusing. It's a 4.0 Mega Pixel Olympus Camera. I'll have to read up on it more and see if I can make some changes to downsize the photos as taken, or maybe with my photo editing software. Thing is I truely am not that great at this end of a computer, and I really do HATE Windows Vista! Had XP and life was good 'til that machine crashed from viruses...frickin' jerks (200+ viruses 'til they finally killed it). Didn't see it comin'.

Anyway I'll try to check it out more. Going to Casper, WY to hunt down a brisket and some other Q supplies on Tuesday and spend a day with wifey. Planning another Q on Wednesday, hoping brisket and already have beef thawing for smoked/dried jerky, and I'm thinking about some grilled jumbo shrimp for appetizers. We'll see how things go. Most of my plans either get changed or totally wrecked, so I just try to be as spontaneous as possible, then I'm happier with the results when everything flys without a hitch.

Hope the folks on dial-up are not having to wait too long on the pics.

Thanks.

And thank you BCFishman for the points.

With Imageshack, when I upload photos, I tell it to resize them for the forum. Then, when posting code, it gives you several code options. I think they both work here. But, when you copy the URL, delete the ".th" that it puts somewhere in the middle of the link, and they will no longer be thumbnails.

All my photos are done with a 3 meg Olympus C-740. Occasionally I might use my D50 6 meg Nikon but as I stated, doesn't matter the size, if you sign onto the Free Photobucket, in the Upload area is a blue colored OPTIONS link, choose 800 x 600 pixels or less from the list provided. All your photos will upload to that size from then on, be they taken with a 2, 3, 4, 6, or 10 meg camera. Of course the larger megapixel camera you use, the longer the uploads.

Olympus has some great lenses. This was the 3 meg.

I have another host site that defaults to that too. Either check out your other provided links or look for an icon near by and click on it. In Myfishingpictures, they do that. The Icon has more URL links to choose from and has one without the TH that gives you the thumbnail image.
